Supplier Code of Business Conduct
This Code of Business Conduct is relevant to all our Business Partners.
Why have this code of conduct?
Elantra Procurement Ltd is part of the Elantra Group of companies and together we are committed to the principles of legal, ethical and honest business. Doing good business in this way is one of the fundamental values of our company.
We expect all our business partners, and that includes suppliers, distributors, agents, representatives and other service partners to act according to the law, with reliability and commercial integrity, at all times.
Code of Business Conduct Principles
- Laws and Regulations
Elantra is an international company who continuously
observes and complies with applicable laws. We obtain the required permits and respect the rights of third parties and stakeholders. We expect our business partners to do the same.
- Business Conduct
We conduct all our business activities with the highest level of honesty, integrity, openness and fairness.
We expect our business partners not to engage in any unethical conduct that directly or indirectly involves dishonesty, fraud, deceit, bribery or corruption. Nor to commit any action that has an adverse reflection on their own or Elantra’s reputation, integrity or competence.
What we expect from our Business Partners
Legal compliance
Business partners shall act in accordance with the Laws and Regulations of the applicable jurisdiction(s), with reliability and credibility, irrespective of national boundaries and cultural diversity.
Anti-bribery and corruption
Our business partners shall neither tolerate nor engage directly or indirectly in any form of corruption and bribery.
Invitations and gifts
Elantra employees may only offer and receive gifts and hospitality to the extent allowed by law. Our business partners shall not use invitations for hospitality or the offering of gifts to Elantra employees to gain any form of influence.
Fair competition and anti-trust
Our business partners will act in accordance with applicable anti-trust and competition rules.
Conflict of interest
We expect our business partners to inform without delay if they have, know of, or are in doubt, that there is a conflict of interest involving an Elantra employee.
Our business partners will refrain from any activity that may result in conflicts of interest, such as offering discounts or other privileges to Elantra employees with the objective to gain influence.
Trade sanctions and export controls
We expect our business partners to act in accordance with the applicable import and export regulations and restrictions of a given territory or country.
Respect for basic human rights
Our business partners will treat its employees equally and with respect regardless of origin, sex, age, belief or disability. The applicable national laws regarding safety, minimum wage and maximum working hours shall be respected along with fair working conditions and remuneration.
Business partners will ensure both its employees and the employees of its suppliers have a minimum age under local law, with no forced labour.
We expect our business partners to act against any threat, abuse or exploitation of people.
Employee health & safety
Business partners shall take responsibility for the health and safety of its employees, taking the best precautionary measures possible to prevent accidents and occupational diseases.
Environmental protection
Business partners shall act in accordance with applicable laws and standards regarding pollution and environmental protection. As well as having the necessary environmental permits, business partners will make continuous improvements in environmental protection and set up or use a reasonable environmental management system to reduce or eliminate waste and emissions.
Supply chain partners
We ask our business partners to be responsible for their own suppliers to comply with laws and regulations and the standards of this code of conduct while fulfilling contractual obligations. Specifically, regarding the protection of human rights, working conditions, anti-corruption and environmental protection.
Product compliance
Business partners shall provide complete and accurate documentation with supplied products, such as country of origin, quality of materials, certificates, and product specification sheets.
Money laundering
Business partners shall not participate in any money laundering activities and will comply with applicable regulations governing the protection of money laundering.
Acknowledgement
We request our business partners acknowledge this code of conduct.
A breach of any of the provisions in this code of conduct will be subject to a proper investigation and will quality as an ethics and compliance incident.
