Employee Code of Business Conduct
This Code of Business Conduct is applicable for all employees of the Elantra Group.
Why have this code of conduct?
Elantra Procurement Ltd is part of the Elantra Group of companies and we are committed to doing legal, ethical and honest business. Doing good business in this way is one of the fundamental values of our company.
We expect all our employees to act in accordance with the law irrespective of national boundaries and cultural diversity. And together as a business, we have the responsibility for the protection and development of the reputation of Elantra.
Code of Business Conduct Principles
- Laws and Regulations
Elantra endorses the principle of unconditional compliance with laws and regulations. As a company trading internationally, we continually observe and comply with applicable trade sanctions, export controls, and general trade regulations. We always want to pay taxes, obtain the required permits and respect the rights of third parties and stakeholders.
Elantra expects all employees to always disclose any unlawful act or practice.
- Business Conduct
Elantra conducts its business activities on the basis of honesty, integrity, openness and fairness. Unethical or non-compliant conduct in the pursuit of business activities compromises Elantra’s relationships and reputation and will not be accepted.
Employees must not engage in any conduct involving, directly or indirectly, dishonesty, fraud, bribery or corruption, deceit or commit any action that reflects adversely on their or Elantra’s reputation, integrity or competence. Employees engaging in such activities will be subject to disciplinary action.
Code of Conduct - Our Guidance
People
We are committed to a working environment that promotes diversity and equal opportunity. We do not tolerate unlawful discrimination or harassment of our employees. We recruit, hire and promote employees solely on the basis of their skills and capabilities which are relevant for the job.
Elantra supports the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We do not use any form of forced, compulsory, trafficked or child labour.
Occupational health and safety
Elantra is committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of all employees. We ensure our facilities and workplaces comply with occupational health and safety, fire and environmental protection. All our employees are encouraged to keep our workplace safe, to conserve resources and minimise the environmental impact of our operations.
Confidentiality and privacy
Elantra employees must not use, disclose, or disseminate personal data, either within Elantra or outside the company, unless it is in full compliance of applicable laws & relevant company procedures.
Information handling
All records and reports on Elantra, both internal and external, must be accurate. Confidential company information may only be used in the interest of Elantra and must not be disclosed to third parties.
Data protection
Elantra employees are responsible for following all security measures around data and system use.
Company resources
Employees are expected to use Elantra company resources in a careful and professional manner, and for their intended business use only. Reasonable efforts must be taken to prevent damage, loss or theft of company resources.
Commercial integrity
We uphold high standards in transparency and honesty in all our business relations and commercial initiatives. We never accept acts of favouritism or solicitations for benefits that conflict with the values and standards of this code.
Conflict of interests
Employees must avoid situations where a conflict of interest may arise be that secondary employment, sideline activities, conflicting personal relations and/or interests in suppliers, customers or competitors. In the event of a potential conflict of interest, employees should inform the management.
Bribery and corruption
Elantra prohibits any conduct that involves promising or offering directly or indirectly, money or other benefits that may result in an improper or illegal advantage for Elantra. This also applies to the receiving of money or other benefits by Elantra employees.
If a situation arises where suppliers or customers are trying to improperly influence the business decisions of Elantra employees, management must be informed.
Anti-money laundering
Elantra employees will not be involved in any form or manner of money laundering.
Competition
Elantra has a continuous focus on compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Our employees must observe rules of fair competition as defined by law. Exchanging information or making agreements on allocation of territories or customers, prices or terms and conditions that are non-compliant with applicable law are all prohibited.
Suppliers
Being involved in procurement decisions daily, Elantra employees ensure fair and open sourcing with suppliers. And our suppliers are expected to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct.
Togetherness
We encourage Elantra employees to promote and support this Employee Code of Business Conduct through day-to-day business activities, personal leadership and business practice.
